Synopsis

Kiara, the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala in the Pride Lands of Africa, gets frustrated with her overprotective father. Meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa, two of Simba's childhood friends, are tasked with pursuing her. Kiara meets a young cub named Kovu after entering the forbidden "Outlands," and the two of them are attacked by crocodiles. They work together to make their escape, and at one point Kiara even saves Kovu. When Kovu retaliates to Kiara's music, Simba confronts the young cub at the same time Zira, Kovu's mother and the leader of the Outsiders, confronts him. Kovu was supposed to succeed Simba's late uncle and archenemy Scar, according to Zira, who also reminds Simba of how he banished her and the other Outsiders....
