Synopsis
Timon begins to watch the first Lion King movie with Pumbaa, but Pumbaa continues telling him to fast-forward to the part where they enter because they aren't mentioned in the opening or anywhere else until halfway through. Telling the audience their story, which starts before Simba's adventure does, is Pumbaa's suggestion. This allows us to get to know Timon's mother and Uncle Max, learn why he left his meerkat colony, find out where he heard the song "Hakuna Matata," learn how he met Pumbaa, and learn about the dangers they faced while looking for their ideal home.
